Ohio Champion and one of the all time greats, Altissimo, captured the Sprint Stakes at Mahoning Valley. In doing so he crossed the $1 million mark in earnings!
“He is our 15 minutes of Fame” said winning owner Nancy Lavrich.
He triumphed over a game Direct Deceit with a fast closing Diamond Dust third. He stopped the timer in 1:11:19 over the good/muddy dirt track which was an extremely impressive time for the day and conditions.
