Sadly, cancer has taken the life of Daryl Parker, a true racing fixture in Ohio. All who have raced in Ohio at one time or another found ourselves in his presence. His personality truly stretched beyond the walls of his office and I am sure each and every one of us has a story we can tell with a wink and a smile where Daryl was a main character!
The comments of his son DeShawn sum it up beautifully:
“I’m sad to let everybody in the Twitter and racing world know that I lost my dad Daryl E Parker last night. He fought a long battle with cancer that took his life. He’s going to be missed but never forgotten!! He was loved by everybody that knew him.”
On behalf of the OTBO and all horsepeople in Ohio we wish the Parker family are deepest condolences. Daryl truly did impact all of our lives and he will be missed.
