Due on Sales Day:
- Original Jockey Club Registration Papers/ Electronic Transfer prior to Auction to the Sale Company
- Coggins
- Health Certificate
- Vet Certificates and Stallion Certificates (In Foal mares)
- All Yearlings and Horses of Racing Age will be scoped prior to sale
*Any horse missing any of the above items will not be allowed to be offered at Auction on sale
Entry Fee: $300
Sale Day Fee: Sale day fee of either: $300 or 5% of the total selling price (Broodmare sale day fee will be $200 or 5%) whichever is greater for every horse on the grounds, regardless of buy backs/RNA or final sale price. This will be due at the conclusion of the auction.
Example: Lot sold for $15,000. Total fee would be $750. ($300 entry fee & $450 taken out sale day). Vet cost for scope for yearlings and racing age horses will be taken from sale day proceeds. Jockey Club papers will be held at discretion of sale manager until accounts are paid in full.
Sales Graduate Race: There will be a 3 yr. old Ohio bred race, if we have sufficient entries, at Mahoning Valley Racecourse for horses that pass through the ring at our annual OTBO Fall Mixed Sale! The race will have a guaranteed purse of $50,000. Nomination and sustaining payments will be required. All Ohio bred horses that passed through our ring this year and in previous sales (in utero included) that will be 3 yr. olds in 2023 are also eligible for this race as long as they comply with all rules and requirements.
