OTBO Board of Directors Ballots Have Been Sent!

Mike Annechino

To all members,

The OTBO is pleased to announce that the ballots for the 2024-2026 Board of Directors have been emailed to all members in good standing on November 8, 2023. The ballots are due back by November 24, 2023.

We are conducting the election via secure email this year for many reasons including: instant and trackable delivery; no postal delays or postmark issues (all emails are time stamped); easier tabulation; and much lower costs.

The ballots will be sent to an independent accountant. He alone has sole access to the ballots so all voting will be done confidentially. He will tabulate and certify the results and report back only the final results to the OTBO.

All information on how to vote can be found on the ballot you receive. Please follow the easy instructions shown there. Please be sure to add your name on the ballot in the space provided.

If any member has not received an email with a ballot as of November 9th, please contact the OTBO at ohiobreeders@gmail.com so we can send you out another one ASAP. All ballots must be returned by the deadline in order to be counted.

Thank you in advance for being a member of the OTBO and voting in this election. We are looking forward in 2024 to building on the recent accomplishments of the OTBO; hosting another $50,000 Sales Grad Stake; handing out the annual Best of Ohio awards; working with Belterra, Thistledown, and Mahoning again on their Best of Ohio Days; conducting Youth Days at both Belterra and Thistledown; and hosting our Annual Mixed Sale. We also are developing specific programs aimed at assisting breeders in Ohio, enhancing racing opportunities for Ohio owners, and many other activities geared towards Ohio horse people.

If anyone has any ideas they would like to see us pursue, please email them to ohiobreeders@gmail.com and we will explore them as well. Also, if you would like to assist the OTBO in any of our activities, please reach out to us as we would welcome your participation and help!

Thank you.

Mike Annechino, Executive Director, OTBO
