Amadevil kept her untarnished winning streak intact this afternoon by capturing the $75,000 Michael G. Mackey Memorial-Angenora Stakes by nearly seven lengths in an easy gallop for rider Chelsey Keiser.
The chocolate bay daughter by Dominus—Preachette, by Pulpit picked up her fourth consecutive victory in as many tries for owners David Wolochuk and Blue Snow Racing, as she bested five rivals in a clocking of 1:10.44 for the six-furlong sprint. Wolochuk also trains the filly.
This Ohio Thoroughbred Race Fund (OTRF) stake was for Ohio registered fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up, and saw 7-1 Circus Rings (Hector Berrios) finish second, with 1-1 Esplanande (Jose Bracho) third and 50-1 longshot Here Comes Jigs (Erik Barbaran) fourth.
The victory was Amadevil’s first foray into stakes competition and she proved herself well worthy of the attempt. Previously, donning her owner’s gold and black silks, she had rattled off two allowances triumphs on July 26 and Aug. 23 over the Cleveland dirt, after breaking her maiden on June 21 at Thistledown.
Sporting three white feet and a striking yellow bridle with a black shadow roll, Amadevil now has $104,400 in her career coffers.
