Buckeye Magic, the 3 yr old colt by Trappe Shot out of the Quiet American mare Lady Buckeye, rolled from far back to win the off the turf Green Carpet Stakes at Belterra today. Trained by Thomas Drury Jr. for owner/breeder Maccabee Farm and ridden expertly by John McKee, the reigning Ohio 2 yr old Champion male gave his fans a little added suspense before putting things in gear and blowing by his rivals in deep stretch to win going away.

Henry Mac ran second at 42-1 and Big Truck checked in third.

This was the third win in a 5 start career for Buckeye Magic who has never missed the board.
