Trainer Tim Hamm, best known for developing the Grade II stakes winning sprinter Too Much Bling, hit a personal milestone saddling his 1,000th career winner, when Blingitonagain won at Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course.
Hamm, a 50-year-old Warren, OH resident has primarily competed in Ohio & Pennsylvania with consistent success. The conditioner, who began his career more than two decades ago, has seen his runners earn more than $1 million in each of the past ten years, including 2016 in which he has 57 victories and $1.4 million in purse earnings.
Hamm has over 100 Ohio stake wins, 5 Horses of the Year in the past 6 years that include Too Much Bling, Significant Bling and Needmore Flattery and a total of 25 Ohio Champions. He has won over 950 races with career earnings of excess of $19 million.
Hamm, who was joined by friends and family members for a special Winner’s Circle gathering said “My team, including understanding owners and dedicated staff are the keys to my success.” Mark Loewe, Vice-President of Ohio Racing for Penn Gaming & Ed Vomacka, Mahoning Valley Race Course Racing Secretary made the presentation.
Owned in partnership by the Trainer’s Blazing Meadows Farm & Michael Friedman, Blingitonagain recorded his first win of the year and second overall from sixteen career starts.
The winner’s share of $15,180 boosted his lifetime bankroll past the $87,000 mark.
